Checkers Take Weekend Series With 3-1 Win
Peoria Rivermen came back to tie the game in the third period for the second
straight game only to fall to the Charlotte Checkers 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at
Time Warner Cable Arena. Brett Sterling
scored Peoria’s only goal and Ben Bishop turned in a 34-save performance in the
