Jean-Guy Trudel to be Inducted into Rivermen Hall of Fame

Jean-Guy Trudel, who played 177 games with the Rivermen between 1996 and 2008, will be inducted into the Peoria Rivermen Hockey Hall of Fame on Saturday, March 24. Having played with the Rivermen in both the ECHL and the American Hockey League, he will become the first player to enter the Hall of Fame to represent the team's AHL era.

Rivermen Win Inaugural Illinois Lottery Cup

The Peoria Rivermen have beaten the Chicago Wolves and Rockford IceHogs in the first-ever Illinois Lottery Cup. By virtue of a 12-8 record, 0.600 winning percentage, Peoria has secured the best overall winning percentage in head-to-head series between the three Illinois-based teams.

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced Sunday that the club has acquired goaltender Alex Stalock on loan from the San Jose Sharks. A 2010 AHL all-star, Stalock has spent his entire AHL career has been spent with Worcester up to this point.
