Schiller Dealt; Rivermen Set Protected Player List

The Peoria Rivermen have announced their 13-man protected player rights list for the 2014-15 season. In addition, defenseman Joe Schiller (pictured) has been traded to the Knoxville Ice Bears as the future considerations to complete a trade involving Tyler Fernandez from Aug. 22, 2013.

Bloomington Thunder/USHL Introductory Press Conference Set for Wednesday

CSH International Inc. (new ownership group of the Bloomington Thunder) is proud to announce it will hold an introductory press conference for the team's move to the United States Hockey League (USHL) on Wednesday, April 16 at Noon at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum (Bud Light Lounge). The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Tuesday announced that Kyle Rank of the Peoria Rivermen has been selected as the Sher-Wood Goaltender of the Year in a vote of league coaches, general managers and media representatives.
