Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today that the St. Louis Blues have reassigned forward Cody Beach to the Rivermen ECHL affiliate, the Evansville IceMen.

Beach, 20, made his AHL debut on Nov. 8 against Charlotte and has five assists in seven games with Peoria. He has also collected 24 penalty minutes. He began the year, and his professional career, with nine games in Evansville. He scored his first pro goal on Nov. 2 in the team’s 4-3 win over Wheeling and also racked up 40 penalty minutes in his nine games.

Last season with Moose Jaw in the Western Hockey League, the 6-foot-5-inch, 200-pound winger recorded 56 points (15, 41a) in 58 games and accumulated 229 penalty minutes. The Kelowna, BC native was originally selected by the Blues in the fifth round (#134 overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
