Peoria Rivermen head coach Jean-Guy Trudel has announced that the team has signed defenseman Adam Feniak to a three-game tryout contract.
Feniak, 26, began the season with the Mississippi Surge and made three appearances before he was released Nov. 9. Last year, the 6’1, 180-pounder played 20 games with the Mississippi RiverKings, where he notched four goals and four assists including his first professional point (goal) on Feb. 9, 2012 at Columbus. He made his pro debut Jan. 29, 2013 against Huntsville.
Prior to turning pro, the Edmonton, Alberta native spent four years at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario. Over 56 collegiate games, Feniak recorded a goal and four assists with an additional assist in six playoff games during his senior season.
The addition brings Peoria’s roster to 16 skaters and two goaltenders, which does not include Dean Yakura or Tyler Amburgey who are on the 30-day IR. For the full roster, click here.
Peoria begins a four-game home stand on Thursday with a 7:15 p.m. puck drop against the Pensacola Ice Flyers at Carver Arena. The game can be heard locally on CD Country 107.9 FM or online at www.cd1079.net. Fans can also follow along via the live video and audio stream at www.americaonesports.com.
