Bloomington Thunder/USHL Introductory Press Conference Set for Wednesday

CSH International Inc. is proud to announce it will hold an introductory press conference for the addition of the Bloomington Thunder to the United States Hockey League (USHL) on Wednesday, April 16 at Noon at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum (Bud Light Lounge). The press conference will also include a formal introduction of General Manager Kurt Silcott, Head Coach Dennis Williams, as well as an introduction of the new ownership group to fans, sponsors and the media.

 

The press conference is open to the general public and everyone is encouraged to attend. In addition, CIAM will host a complimentary free lunch to all those in attendance.  

 

Along with Williams, Skip Prince (Commissioner of the USHL), Bill Yuill and Gary Gelinas of CSH International Inc.,  will be on hand for the official introduction to offer insight and answer questions.

 

Bloomington will begin play in the USHL, the only Tier One league in the United States, during the 2014-2015 season. Its home games will be played at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in downtown Bloomington, Illinois.

 

The USHL is the top destination for players with NCAA Division I hockey and NHL aspirations. Multiple players each season are selected in the NHL Draft and over 200 alumni of the League are currently under NHL contract.  Prominent alumni include NHL players David Backes (St. Louis Blues), Patrick Sharp (Chicago Blackhawks), Joe Pavelski (San Jose Sharks), Thomas Vanek (Montreal Canadiens), Kyle Okposo (New York Islanders), plus Illinois natives John Moore (New York Rangers) and Tommy Wingels (San Jose Sharks).  

 

CSH International has been involved in the sports industry since 1977, owning and operating multiple teams in hockey, baseball, and basketball over that time. The group also owns and manages golf courses, a facility management firm, and a sports agency located in Dallas, Texas.  Their current junior hockey properties include the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League (WHL), Amarillo Bulls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), and North Iowa Bulls of the NA3HL.
