Chris Bruton, Maury Edwards and David McKee All Sign PTO's

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced Monday that the club has signed forward Chris Bruton, defenseman Maury Edwards and goaltender David McKee to professional tryout contracts (PTO).
Bruton, 21, has already appeared in three games with the Rivermen this season. A member of the ECHL Alaska Aces, he has recorded six goals, seven assists and 60 penalty minutes while appearing in 27 games with the Aces this season. He attended training camp with the Rivermen and played in both preseason games, recording five penalty minutes.
Edwards, 24, played in Peoria’s last two games before rejoining the Cincinnati Cyclones on Dec. 19. In 21 games for the ECHL Cylcones, he has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and six penalty minutes to accompany a plus-4 rating.
McKee, 28, joins the Rivermen from the Central Hockey League’s Quad City Mallards. In 16 appearances this season, the Irving, Tex. native has posted an 8-7-1 record with a 2.91 goals-against average and a 0.903 save-percentage. He has nine games of AHL experience with the Portland Pirates (2006-07) and the Iowa Stars (2007-08). Overall he is 5-4-0 in those games.
McKee is filling in for Rivermen goaltender Jake Allen who has joined Team Canada to participate in the Spengler Cup this week in Davos, Switzerland.
