The Peoria Rivermen have announced that their fourth annual “Tip-A-Riv” Dinner will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Lariat Steakhouse in Peoria. The Rivermen players will be transformed into the wait staff for the evening and all tips generated, as well as proceeds from the auctions and other events throughout the night, will be donated to Tazwell County Resource Centers.
The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. with attendees and players mingling and bidding on silent auction items. At 7 p.m. dinner will be served by the players and a live auction will follow.
Dinner will include Caesar salad, prime rib (or salmon), vegetables, baked potato (or wild rice) and turtle cheesecake. After dinner, and the close of the silent auction at 8 p.m., there will be a live auction and karaoke with the Rivermen players.
