Sponsorship Sales Executive
Terry Alvino, 28, enters his second season with the Rivermen and his first full season as a Sponsorship Sales Executive. Alvino was hired in February 2012 as an Account Executive before being promoted into the sponsorship department later in the season. Alvino, a St. Louis native, was an account representative at 550 KTRS Radio in St. Louis prior to his hire in Peoria.
He is an avid sports fan with a professional sports background different from most in the industry. Alvino was a professional soccer player for over four seasons before retiring due to injuries. His collegiate career includes three years at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas where he helped the Cardinals to three straight Division II National Tournament appearances from 2002-04. He transferred to the University of Dayton in 2005 to complete his senior season with the Flyers and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
His professional career in the United States includes time with the Chicago Fire (MLS) and the Minnesota Thunder (USL First Division). Alvino played two seasons overseas with the Otago United in New Zealand and one season with Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic. One of his most memorable experiences was training with the legendary Sheffield Wednesday for a month during his professional career.
Alvino is excited to be entering his first full season with the Rivermen and loves being around people and interacting with the community. Alvino resides in Peoria with his son, John.
