Rivermen Loan Parks to ECHL Florida, Sign Goaltender Pulde

The Peoria Rivermen have announced that goaltender Tyler Parks has been loaned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL, and that the team has signed goaltender Mason Pulde to a contract before Peoria’s three-game weekend road trip to Birmingham and Macon. Parks’ trip to Florida will mark his second ECHL stint of the season, while Pulde joins the Rivermen after going 3-0-0 in four outings with the FHL’s Watertown Wolves.

Rivermen Complete Four-Player Trade with Fayetteville Wednesday

The Peoria Rivermen announced Wednesday afternoon that the team has completed a four-player trade with the Fayetteville Marksmen, acquiring goaltender Peter Di Salvo and winger Joe Kalisz in exchange for winger Dakota Klecha and the SPHL rights to winger Nick Miglio, currently on loan to ECHL Kansas City. In a pair of separate moves, the Rivermen have released goaltender Ryan de Melo, and center Joseph Widmar has returned from his loan to ECHL Greenville.

The Peoria Rivermen announced over the weekend that the team has acquired defenseman Cody Smith in a trade with the Huntsville Havoc, sending the SPHL rights to defenseman Christian Weidauer to the Havoc. Additionally, the Rivermen have waived goaltender Matt Leon and center Brandon Millin, while winger Nick Miglio is expected to return Monday evening from his loan to ECHL Norfolk.

The Peoria Rivermen announced this morning that the team has signed center Dustin Jesseau and moved goaltenders Eric Levine and Storm Phaneuf to season-ending injured reserve ahead of the team’s Friday night game in Southaven, MS against the Mississippi RiverKings. The moves come after Levine and Phaneuf suffered lower-body injuries in back-to-back games December 22 & 23 at Carver Arena.

The Peoria Rivermen announced Monday that the team has signed goaltender Storm Phaneuf to a contract before the team’s weekend series in Knoxville. The Gatineau, Quebec native returns to the Rivermen after beginning this season with the Rapid City Rush of the ECHL, where he saw action in five games before being waived over the weekend.

City of Peoria to Honor Late Rivermen Owner

The City of Peoria, in conjunction with the Peoria Rivermen and Peoria Civic Center, have announced plans this week to honor late Rivermen owner Bruce Saurs by renaming a stretch of road in downtown Peoria “Bruce Saurs Way”. The run of SW Jefferson Avenue from Fulton Street to William Krumpf Boulevard will be renamed in a ceremony November 25 to honor the late Rivermen owner and his contributions to professional hockey in Peoria.

The Peoria Rivermen announced a series of roster moves Monday, sending winger Justin Greenberg to the 30-day Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury and signing rookie winger Will Smith to a full contract, while adding goaltender Tyler Parks on a full deal and waiving netminder Matt Leon. Additionally, the Rivermen have loaned defenseman Nick Neville to ECHL South Carolina as Peoria prepares to host a pair of games against the Mississippi RiverKings Friday and Saturday night at Carver Arena following the Thanksgiving Holiday.
