Siiro Returns to Rivermen Roster Thursday

The Peoria Rivermen have announced today that the team has signed winger Ryan Siiro to a contract prior to this weekend’s games against Quad City. Siiro, 26, returns to the Rivermen after beginning his pro career last season with Peoria, notching 10 goals and 12 assists in 33 games, adding a goal and three helpers in seven playoff outings. In additional moves earlier this week, the Rivermen waived center Colton Wolter, released winger Brian Bachnak from his amateur tryout contract, and signed winger Drake Hunter to a 3-game tryout deal.

Kalisz Activated from Injured Reserve Monday

The Peoria Rivermen announced Monday that the team has activated Joe Kalisz from the 21-day injured reserve. In additional moves, the Rivermen signed winger Mitchell McPherson to an Amateur Tryout Contract and placed veteran winger Mike Gurtler on the 21-day IR with an upper-body injury suffered in Peoria’s 3-1 loss at Knoxville Saturday.

Trudel Re-Ups with Rivermen, Signs Two-Year Extension

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that the team has agreed to terms with Head Coach Jean-Guy Trudel on a two-year contract extension that will keep Trudel in Peoria through the 2020-21 season. Trudel, 43, is in the midst of his sixth year at the Peoria helm, and has earned three SPHL Coach of the Year awards during his time behind the Rivermen bench, becoming the only coach to earn the honor more than once.

Rivermen Sign Veteran Winger Sicard Wednesday

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that the team will sign veteran winger Dennis Sicard to a contract tomorrow morning prior to the team’s weekend home games against Knoxville and Quad City. Sicard comes to the Rivermen after he last played for the Macon Mayhem last season, when he notched eight goals and 22 assists in 50 outings.

The Peoria Rivermen have announced today that 2019-20 full-season Season Tickets are now on sale through the Rivermen office. As in years past, fans can get their tickets for a discounted price if paying in full by May 1, and a lineup of season ticket perks make their return including an exclusive preseason Meet the Team party, a 15% discount on Rivermen merchandise, and the team’s No Ticket Goes Wasted program allowing fans to exchange unused tickets for select game dates.

Rivermen Complete Four-Player Trade with Quad City Monday

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that the team has completed a trade with the Quad City Storm, acquiring winger Austin Hervey in exchange for center Dean Yakura, winger Stephen Gaul, and the SPHL rights to center Joseph Widmar, currently on loan to ECHL Atlanta. In a separate move, the Rivermen have placed defenseman Aaron Atwell on waivers.

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that the team has returned defenseman Ralfs Grinbergs from his loan to ECHL Indy, loaned winger Ben Blasko to ECHL Orlando, and placed goaltender Ryan Mulder on waivers. The moves come before Peoria’s three-game weekend against the Pensacola Ice Flyers in Florida this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that winger Joe Kalisz and goaltender Storm Phaneuf have returned from their loans to ECHL Maine and Kalamazoo, respectively. Kalisz returns to the Rivermen after recording four assists in his 15-game stint with the Mariners, while Phaneuf saw one game during his time in the ECHL, split between Brampton and Kalamazoo.
