Rivermen Loan Parks to ECHL Florida, Sign Goaltender Pulde

Parks makes second ECHL trip while Pulde joins Rivermen from FHL Watertown

Peoria, IL – The Peoria Rivermen have announced that goaltender Tyler Parks has been loaned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL, and that the team has signed goaltender Mason Pulde to a contract before Peoria’s three-game weekend road trip to Birmingham and Macon. Parks’ trip to Florida will mark his second ECHL stint of the season, while Pulde joins the Rivermen after going 3-0-0 in four outings with the FHL’s Watertown Wolves.

Parks, 25, makes his second trip to the ECHL this season after he played in one game for the Reading Royals, taking the loss December 17 against Adirondack. With the Rivermen this season, Parks has gone 10-3-1 in 14 outings, logging a 2.64 GAA and a .918 save percentage, adding a shutout December 1 at Fayetteville.

Pulde joins the Rivermen after seeing action in four games this season for the Watertown Wolves, where he was a teammate of current Rivermen defenseman Stephen Gallo. With the Wolves, Pulde went 3-0-0 between the pipes with a 2.06 GAA and a .925 saves rate. Prior to this season, Pulde played in parts of three collegiate seasons for Tufts University in Medford, MA, getting into 47 games from 2014-17. Last season for the Jumbos, the 5-foot-10, 185-pounder went 5-4-2 with a 2.37 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.

The Rivermen return to action this weekend when they play a pair of games in Birmingham Friday and Saturday before wrapping up their road trip with a Sunday matinee contest in Macon, the first meeting between the Rivermen and Mayhem since last season’s President’s Cup Finals. The Rivermen will then return to Carver Arena for a three-game set with the Fayetteville Marksmen February 16-18, including Paw Patrol night and Jean-Guy Trudel Bobblehead night on Friday, Rivermen Hall of Fame Night on Saturday, and a PNC Family Fun Sunday game at 3:05 PM on the 18th.
