Rivermen Announce Date of Playoff Opener
Round 1, Game 1 tickets to go on sale 9 AM Monday
Peoria, IL – The Peoria Rivermen are excited to announce today that the team’s first game of the 2018 President’s Cup Challenge Round will most likely take place Wednesday, April 11, at 7:15 PM at Carver Arena, with Peoria’s opponent still to be determined. Of Peoria's five remaining possible choices for a Challenge Round opponent, four would have the top-seeded Rivermen opening the Challenge Round at home.
Single-game tickets for Peoria's first Challenge Round home game will go on sale Monday at 9 AM through the Rivermen office. Single-game seats will start at $11 each and will cost another dollar apiece if purchased on gameday.
Fans wishing to “Pay as we Play” and reserve their tickets for all of Peoria’s 2018 President’s Cup Playoffs home games can still do so through the Rivermen office until Friday’s deadline. The Rivermen finish their regular season schedule this Friday and Saturday with a pair of games against the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs. Friday’s game is Peoria’s annual Call Julie 8-1-1 Night, with $8.11 upper-bowl tickets available through the Rivermen office, and 8-1-1 drawstring bags available to the first 500 fans through the doors. The Rivermen wrap up the regular season Saturday night at 7:15 with their annual CEFCU Fan Fest, featuring Team Photos given away to the first 3,000 fans courtesy of CEFCU, and a postgame autograph session with the entire Rivermen team on the Carver Arena concourse. Peoria will then host its first ever Challenge Round Selection Show watch party at the Coca Cola Lobby inside Carver Arena. Admission to the watch party is free of charge, and fans will be able to interact with Rivermen players and staff as the Rivermen select their first-round playoff opponent.
