Peoria Signs Forward Jack Jaunich

PEORIA, IL–  The Peoria Rivermen announced today that they have signed forward Jack Jaunich to the active roster ahead of their three-game weekend series against the Quad City Storm.

 

Jaunich, a native of White Bear Lake in Minnesota, stands tall at 6’0 and weighs 181 lbs. Jaunich played for four years with Aurora University, the same school that produced former Peoria Rivermen and President’s cup champion Lord-Anthony Grissom. In four years with Aurora, Jaunich netted 39 goals and 57 assists (96 points) in 93 career games played at the Division III level. After his college career Jaunich played three games with the Savannah Ghost Pirates of the ECHL. Jaunich is also a veteran of the Shreveport Mudbugs junior hockey team of the North American Hockey League. Jaunich posted 44 points in three seasons for the Mudbugs and was a member of Shreveport’s Robertson Cup Championship squad in 2018.

 

Jaunich and the Rivermen will be at home this Friday and Sunday against the Quad City Storm and on the road in Quad City on Saturday. Friday is 70’s Night, presented by CSL Plasma, and will feature the Rivermen wearing specialty tie-dyed jerseys that will be auctioned off that the conclusion of the game. In addition, the first 1000 fans at Carver Arena on Friday will receive a free Rivermen lanyard, presented by Unity Point Health.

 

Peoria and Quad City have battled in their yearly edition of the “War on I-74”. Peoria requires just one point this weekend in order to claim the season series.
