Eric Levine made 30 saves and four different goal scorers propelled the Rivermen over the Evansville Thunderbolts Tuesday morning by a 4-2 final. The win pushes coach Trudel’s group to 3-0; the best start for a Peoria Rivermen team since the club’s inaugural AHL season in 2005-06.

Jeremy Brodeur made his SPHL debut with his father in attendance, as the Rivermen defeated the Evansville Thunderbolts, 4-2 inside Carver Arena.Darren McCormick scored two goals and Ted Hart scored his first professional goal, helping the Rivermen start the 2019-20 season, 2-0.The Rivermen jumped on the score board less than five minutes into the contest, when winger Darren McCormick stole a passing attempt from Evansville goaltender Max Strang.....

The Peoria Rivermen announced the signing of defenseman Paul Fregeau. The 26-year-old made the Quad City Storm opening night roster, but was released following their first game and did not play.
Fregeau hails from Sylmar, CA, a suburb of Los Angeles. The 6’3”,195 pounder played NCAA-DIII hockey for SUNY-Cortland and SUNY-Platsburgh. Fregeau began his first full season as a pro last year.....

The Peoria Rivermen announced on Wednesday that the team has traded defenseman Kyle Thacker to the Evansville Thunderbolts in exchange for center Alec Baer. Additionally, the Rivermen have also released forward Dave Nippard. Baer, 22, is a Minnesota native who spent parts of six seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL), mostly with the Vancouver Giants. With the official SPHL 19 man rosters due to the league by Wednesday’s end, the Peoria Rivermen announced several roster moves Tuesday evening. Among those transactions was the signing of goaltender Jeremy Brodeur, son of Hockey Hall of Fame goalie and longtime New Jersey Devil, Martin Brodeur. Coach Jean-Guy Trudel also signed forward Jordan Ernst, who spent time in both the ECHL and AHL a season ago.

Peoria Rivermen head coach Jean-Guy Trudel announced four roster cuts Sunday afternoon as the SPHL deadline required teams to be at no more than 22 players. Goaltender Brody Claeys, defenseman Oleg Shipitsyn, and forwards Trent Durocher and Jon Buttitta have been released from Rivermen training camp.

The Peoria Rivermen and Quad City Storm reacquainted themselves in a preseason matchup Saturday night at Carver Arena. The Storm Struck first and never looked back on their way to a 4-2 victory over the Rivermen.
The Storm opened the scoring early in the first when Ludlow Harris Jr. carried the puck across the center ice logo, raced down the right wing and snapped a shot that snuck past the trapper of Rivermen goaltender Brody Clayes for the 1-0 lead at 2:19 of the opening stanza.

Carvalho Reunites With Rivermen

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that Jordan Carvalho has signed a professional tryout agreement for the team’s upcoming training camp. Carvalho, a forward who played for the Rivermen during the 2017-18 campaign, joins a bevy of other players, including Alex D’Oliveira, Skyler Smutek, and Zach Nieminen who have also signed tryout agreements. Training camp for the Rivermen begins October 9th.
